The state-of-the-art Navy SeaPerch app gives young students (primarily high school age) an opportunity to explore their interests in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) in an engaging, hands-on way � with a strategic Navy tie-in.
The app launches users into a custom 3-D aquatic world. Guiding them through the streamlined process of building a virtual ROV. Challenging them to run their newly constructed underwater robots through virtual game-like courses. Inviting them to learn about everything from marine engineering to nuclear propulsion to diving. And all this, while educating eager young minds with insight into the Navy�s role as a leader in all of these areas.
Beyond providing early awareness to the STEM-passionate students the Navy hopes to one day count among its ranks, the app also encourages those students to share their experience via app-prompted posts or tweets � further expanding the reach of the messaging.
