The Society of General Internal Medicine is a national medical society of 3,000 physicians who are the primary internal medicine faculty of every medical school and major teaching hospital in the United States.
SGIM was an organization in need of rebranding their overall corporate identity and needed to bring three distinct sub-organizations under a single umbrella. In addition they were struggling with maintaining an online presence on very dated tools and technology and needed a platform that enabled their organization to easily manage a world class web presence.
The Cobranding design brings a Society, Association and Journal under a single web identity.
Another feature is the social integration and highlighting features of the SGIM website that are bringing social media and the community ties to the forefront in an industry generally resistant to adoption.
The site is designed (particularly the resource library and meetings sections) to draw in the community and provide the Society with opportunities to increase their value and visibility to their overall community.
