Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) social media platforms aim to maximize the reach to potential visitors and promote Hong Kong as preferred travel destination. To help the organization engaging with fans, Pixo Punch created 2 social media campaigns—“Winter Fest” and “Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival”. The Wine & Dine Festival aims to promote Hong Kong as the wine and dine hub of Asia and reinforce Hong Kong’s position as the “Culinary Capital of Asia” internationally. To help promoting the Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival, a Facebook campaign was created. This campaign was placed at a tab page under the Hong Kong Tourism Board Facebook page. Several questions had to be answered by the players. These questions could help them understand more about Hong Kong’s culture, especially at the aspect of dinning. The tourism board could also collect more people’s opinions towards Hong Kong dining culture and the Wine & Dine Festival. People could choose to share the campaign to their friends. By sharing the campaign, a photo would be generated showing the profile photos of the players and their friends. Players could share this photo at their own wall or friends’ walls. This campaign could connect people and people together. At the same time, this function could help arousing visitors’ awareness of Hong Kongs estival events and attractions. Hong Kong WinterFest is one of the Hong Kong’s mega events, which aims to promote Hong Kong as the best travel destination in winter. There are numerous of colourful series of event each year, like Christmas celebrations, New Year countdown and superb shopping & dining offers around the town during the festive period. These all bring visitors a memorable trip and new experiences. To arouse vistor’s awareness of festival events and attractions during the Hong Kong WinterFest 2013, a Facebook campaign was created. This Facebook was also placed under HKTB’s Facebook tab page. Questions asked in the tab-page could help the HKTB understand more about the preferences of visitors when travelling in Hong Kong. An E-card would be generated after answering the questions. Players could design the card by choosing different themes and greeting messages. Users could send out the card to their friends and family members. This could promote Hong Kong’s special events and activities during the Winter Festival.
