Mingo Press is a designer’s best friend: always speedy, always flexible, always full of colorful ideas… and commentary. Mingo’s signature snark has been delighting customers for years, with everything from inspirational koozies ("three more sips to design genius!") to honest holiday gift tags ("Merry Christmas, ya filthy animal!”). Whatever the medium, Mingo, delivers on their promise of being a full-service online printer, with personality to boot.
Staying true the goal of helping designers’ ideas come to life, Mingo wanted to make sure their clients knew all about the printing options available to them. But with so many choices (offset printing, lithography, and overlays, just to name a few…) and only so much time to cover each, we had to make it easy for designers to see the value in sending their print jobs to Mingo. To accomplish this, we created a yearlong direct mail campaign that highlighted their many services in a way that was digestible for designers and novices, with each piece focusing on a different array of services, tied to a different letter in Mingo’s name.
The result was a story of Mingo’s commitment to quality printing, creative ideas, and customer service, told through imaginative art, digital media, and a well-timed punchline. And M.I.N.G.O was its name-o...
