To capitalise on the growing trend towards mobile sourcing, the HKTDC created a 4-in-1 integrated application that incorporates our effective sourcing channels namely trade fairs, online marketplace, product magazines and mobile application into one mobile application called the “HKTDC Marketplace” app to cultivate a seamless O2O sourcing experience to facilitate year-round business connections between buyers and suppliers.
HKTDC Marketplace app is a sourcing companion which brings professional buyers smart features for buyers at HKTDC trade fairs including Exhibitor QR Code Scanner and Floor Plan. Product trends and multi-media contents from specialised magazines let buyers have instant contact with over 130,000 suppliers online at hktdc.com, 37,000 exhibitors of our world-class trade fairs, and thousands of product magazine advertisers. Buyers can simply tap the app to view our trade fairs details, read the latest issue of the product magazines, or even search for suppliers’ company and product information according to their need.
Objectives:
- Encourage business discussions and deals by enabling buyers and exhibitors to exchange contact information electronically.
-Help buyers identify potential suppliers via the mobile app’s interactive features.
-Address the rapid growth of our trade fairs, as well as their physical and time limitations.
-Address weight and environmental concerns. Mobile versions of product magazines / fair catalogues are more eco-friendly, eliminating the need for buyers to carry print copies of magazines / catalogues around.
