The Villages at Belvoir is a military housing community offering homes to families stationed at Fort Belvoir. Consistently boasting a 100% occupancy rate despite turnover due to regular reassignments, the recently revamped website’s goal is to provide prospective residents – often moving to Belvoir from afar – with a comprehensive depiction of life on Post while simultaneously serving as a valuable resource for current residents. To help meet these needs, CRC elevated the community’s online presence by moving away from a disorganized and content-heavy site to a fresh, user-friendly site that allows streamlined leasing and management services to occur online.
To aid virtual leasing, a powerful floor plan search tool allows users to browse plans by any combination of neighborhood, rank, and bedroom count. Users are also able take a virtual tour of a selection of representative homes allowing them to picture themselves on Post. Finally, a dedicated leasing page relieves the confusion and burden from future residents during the moving process. For current residents, a real-time events calendar and integrated Facebook feed encourage positive community engagement and promote camaraderie amongst families on base. Plus, a robust document center is easily accessible from the main navigation and tiered service request forms improve response times for resident-management communications.
Since the new site’s launch on 12/19/2018, engagement is up. The average session duration is nearly four minutes 30 seconds, over 40 seconds longer than the previous year’s average. Overall, the site is regarded a success by key stakeholders including management, Army Command, and residents.
