Our journey to ELEVATED and UNMATCHED SUPPORT was exciting. Although we are a small team (three FTEs), we decided early to keep the rebranding process in-house, due to cost and because we believed in our skills and institutional knowledge to lead a successful rebranding effort.
Thanks to strong results from many studies and focus groups, we discovered what our audience–prospective students and their parents–want out of an education institution. Our new brand promise–unmatched support for career success and personal fulfillment–reflects those wants and needs.
This also led to the discovery of “Elevated” and the visual focus of the brand. We began a process of creating distinct, memorable marketing collateral using our own students and the talents of our team. We wanted to feature our students, because it creates an authentic sense of pride to have real students in our marketing campaigns. We built new collateral with visuals reflecting topography and rising to the top because prospective students want to see themselves in a place where they’ll succeed and be elevated. Our newly built admissions collateral, the billboards and ads, the vinyls and artwork across campus, it all reflects our value proposition: that the unmatched support a student receives at the Mount leads to elevated future successes.
In conclusion, we are extremely proud of the work we did as a team here at the Mount. After an initial 9% increase in enrollment and apps still trending up, we believe this work has earned quick results.
