Bradley International Airport's previous website was functioning well but was a bit dated and conservative — and above all, it was not inspiring. They asked us to create a redesign that didn’t change the architecture, but greatly increased the site's modernity, brought their “love the journey” tagline to life, showcased the new design and architecture of several areas of the airport, and inspired a desire to travel. The redesign targeted consumers and business travelers within a reasonable drive distance to the airport. The old site's architecture lacked a good hub for content, had no templates for inspiring content, and didn’t cross sell this content. To inspire travel amongst targeted consumers and business travelers, while also mentioning multiple destinations/airlines, we built up these content marketing capabilities. To increase the vibrant look and feel of the site, we created an updated graphic treatment. Additional efforts included addressing current load speed issues, a homepage treatment of key information, a method for highlighting parking, and a method for highlighting important news like Airport Awards, the new Ground Transportation Center opening, and new airlines news. The site launched in December 2022, and within a week of launch we could already see more engagement on the site, particularly with consumer email signups which jumped 784%!
