VerticalResponse provides self-service online marketing solutions primarily to small businesses and non-profits. In October 2011, we launched our �Everything Holiday� microsite as a timely and relevant resource for our customers, with quick and easy tools to use with their holiday-related email and social marketing. We rolled out the campaign in three phases, which were introduced throughout the holiday season to provide the right resource at the right time.
Categories of resources included:
� Holiday Guides � informative guides on topics from email marketing to social media during the holidays
� Holiday Creative � holiday-themed images and custom call-to-action buttons designed to enhance their holiday campaigns
� Holiday Subject Line Express � Customers could use this automatic subject line generator to create up to 18 holiday-themed subject lines in less than 30 seconds
� Dates to Know � Holiday dates to remember including important mail and shipping deadlines, as well as international dates
� Festival of Templates � New email marketing templates to reflect the holiday season
� Webinars � Special webinars to get customers mailing and marketing with a holiday flair
� VR Marketing Blog feed � Ongoing feed of new holiday-related posts from our Marketing Blog
� Helpful Holiday Stats � For example: Did you know that on average, retailers begin sending holiday emails 69 days before Christmas?
We drove traffic to the microsite through banner ads, and call-outs on the company�s home page and log-in page, as well as mentions in our VR Buzz weekly e-newsletter. The campaign was a huge success: The microsite received more than 10,500 page views with an average time on page of almost 2.5 minutes.
