The BREATHE Project seeks to raise public awareness and build the business and political will to improve air quality in the Pittsburgh region, which is among the worst in the nation. The integrated campaign – which includes TV, radio, outdoor, online and events – draws the connection between air pollution and higher rates of asthma, respiratory disease, and cancer in the western Pennsylvania region. Since its launch, the campaign has helped create the conditions to bring together more than 50 partners – from U.S. Steel to the Sierra Club – to make specific commitments to improve the region’s air.
