This video was designed to accomplish three primary goals: raise awareness of the HSPD-12 security directive and the risks associated with not following HSPD-12 policies and procedures; educate VA employees about the difference between their current ID badge and the more secure Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card; and motivate employees to obtain their PIV card as soon as possible. The video features an authentic portrayal of actual VA employees�including key leaders�speaking enthusiastically about their pride in doing their part to ensure security at their VA facilities. The snappy catch phrase, �I�ve got my card!� spoken by employees across all levels served as a motivational peer-to-peer message, encouraging all employees to jump on the bandwagon and get their PIV cards. The video has captured widespread attention, greatly enhanced the credibility of the VA identity management program brand, and successfully raised awareness of the PIV card requirement and issuance process at VA.
